10-Steps to Completion

• Our success is based on building a collaborative and trusted relationship with our clients. This starts with an initial consultation, either by phone or in-person, to determine unique project requirements.
• 1–INITIAL CONSULTATIONWe discuss goals and objectives, explore our clients’ creative vision and determine parameters. Understanding budget and design preferences (such as material and aesthetic sensibilities) helps us meet expectations.
• 2–ON-SITE VISIT We walk the site, taking photographs and measurements to help develop our creative plan. We talk through initial ideas, understand likes and dislikes and get a better feel for construction possibilities.
• 3–PROJECT PLAN Based on our client consultation and site visit we will develop an initial project plan. We will either work with a client-appointed architect, or use our dedicated team to define project scope.
• 4–ESTIMATE We develop cost and timing forecasts, based on the project plan. This estimate is reviewed with the client, preferably in-person, to ensure all criteria are met. We outline creative and material resources, together with a proposed timeline for completion.
• It is important to note that costs outlined in an estimate may change, depending on whether the client amends the original project scope. Sometimes plans grow, materials increase or become more specialized, which often impacts construction timelines.

• 5–REFINEMENT Further refinements to the plan and estimate may be made, based on client feedback and changes made to original plans (as noted in step 4).
• 6–CONTRACTOnce a project plan and approach has been agreed, we develop a formal contract outlining the statement of work in detail. We pay particular attention to key milestones, materials and billing schedules. We also define roles and responsibilities – important when working as part of a collaborative team.
• 7–DESIGN The fun part begins. We refine our initial plans into detailed design specifications. Architectural, structural and interior design expertise is applied. We welcome client input throughout the design process, capturing unique requirements.
• 8–CONSTRUCTION As we break-ground on a new project we draw up material lists and assign project tasks. Throughout the construction process we keep the job-site clean and professionally managed. We understand that this can be a sensitive time for homeowners and Zeus Design Build puts our clients at ease.
• During construction, Zeus Design Build remains flexible to accommodate client requests for changes and additions. ZDB will never undertake work that could deviate from the initial creative approach, timeline or budget without prior client consent.
• 9–COMPLETION Once a job has been completed, Zeus Design Build conducts a thorough walk-through of the property to ensure that the site is left immaculately. While many of our clients follow the construction process closely, we ensure that all areas of the project plan have met expectations.
• 10–EXTENDED SERVICE We pride ourselves in exceptional customer service and continue to nurture the client relationship long after completion. Zeus Design Build is available for ongoing maintenance enquiries and to provide support beyond project close.
